Lies, damn lies, and alternative facts. We live in a post-truth era … or is that not the whole truth? Fake news misleads while genuine news gets dismissed as fake by the liars, charlatans and worse who’ll corrupt our democracies. But fiction is all lies, too, isn’t it? – or is the best of it committed to truth? Fiction and creative nonfiction that speaks only the truth, and explodes lies, for this issue, please – your political bents may be implicit or explicit.
We accept short fiction, flash/micro fiction, and nonfiction. We do not accept poetry.
Due to the volume of submissions we receive, please submit only one piece per theme. Additional submissions will unfortunately not be considered.
Please also note that if we have published your work in the magazine, we won't consider publishing your work again until a year has passed.
