This edition will have a global focus, featuring contributions from various countries, providing unique insights into the political climate of their homelands. We seek narratives that astutely dissect democratic processes, from the grassroots victories to perplexing outcomes of major political decisions. Whether it’s the pride of democratic success or a whimsical caution about electoral choices, we encourage you to submit stories that explore the ironies of democracy. Your contributions will not only tell tales but also reflect the diverse, sometimes paradoxical nature of democracy worldwide. Submissions guidelines:

  • Fiction and creative non-fiction: up to 4,000 words
  • Flash fiction: up to 500 words
  • Poetry: up to 3 poems, no longer than 40 lines each
  • Please submit your work in a Word document, double-spaced, 12 pt font.
  • Include a brief cover letter with your name, contact information, and a short bio (50-100 words).
  • Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
  • We do not accept previously published work.
  • Submissions must be in English.
  • If you're submitting artwork: Artists are invited to submit up to 5 pieces for consideration. Hi-res image files @300 dpi or higher should be readily available for each work.
